2nd Class Power Engineer – Cogen Superintendent

This full-time, permanent career opportunity is based in a small community in the beautiful North Okanagan Region of B.C.  Relocation is required and some assistance can be offered. 

As the ideal Cogen Superintendent candidate, you are a 2^nd Class Power Engineer with senior level supervisory experience and a proven track record leading a team of Power Engineers or other skilled tradespeople who support steam and power generation assets ensuring they run safely and efficiently.

• Are a 2^nd Class Power Engineer with extensive experience working with steam and power combustion generation
• Have strong working knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel codes and regulations
• Have previous experience with solid fuel combustion (considered an asset)

You…

• Are authorized to work in Canada (e.g. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status)
• Have been accountable for the supervision of plant production activities, while leading, documenting, reporting and troubleshooting operational events
• Show commitment to excellence by maintaining records associated with compliance with environmental, WorksafeBC, TSBC and insurance standards
• Are a strong leader experienced in hiring, training, developing and managing employees to ensure a cohesive and high performing team
• Have a valid driver’s licence and vehicle
• Are proficient in the English language (oral and written)

Salary range: $101,250 – $135,000
