Accountant (move to north/central B.C. required)

This Accountant position plays a key role in assisting with the financial management of the Lumber Operations.  You will be responsible for general accounting functions including preparing financial statements, cost reports, reconciliations, and financial analysis, while maintaining internal controls to mitigate asset risk.  As the ideal candidate, you have a related degree and/or are enrolled in the CPA program and a background in forestry (considered an asset). 

This full-time, permanent position is based in the north/central B.C. and requires relocation.

• Have at least 2 years working experience with increasing financial responsibility (preferably within the forestry industry).
• Have participated in budgeting and forecasting, weekly/monthly cost reviews against budget and KPI’s, prepared monthly financial statements, etc.

• Are legally authorized to work in Canada (e.g. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status)
• Have a relevant degree and/or are enrolled in the CPA program
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office (this is essential). 
• Have knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (considered an asset)
• Are highly organized with an ability to prioritize workload and meet demanding deadlines
• Have a strong command of the English language (oral and written)

Salary range: $70,828 – $81,453 /annually
