Internal Auditor (CPA & CIA) – (relocation to North Okanagan, BC req’d)

This exciting career opportunity is geared toward an experienced Internal Auditor who enjoys both the audit function and providing consulting services that add value and improve the organization’s operations, as it relates to business practices and risks.  CPA or other recognized accounting designation (or in advanced stages of certification) and CIA designation is required.  CISA/CISM is considered an asset.

The position is based in the beautiful and highly desirable region of the North Okanagan, British Columbia.  Relocation is required and relocation assistance is being offered.

How can you stand out? Well, If You…

  • Come from a manufacturing background and have 2 or more years of internal audit experience, which includes financial, operational, compliance, internal control, and governance reviews
  • Have your CPA designation or other recognized accounting designation (advanced stages of certification will be considered)
  • Have your CIA designation (required); CISA/CISM is considered an asset.
  • Are proficient with audit software and data analytic tools
  • Are seeking a team environment in a highly desirable area of B.C. offering year-round, outdoor activities….This role might be for you!

Reporting directly to the Director, Internal Audit the Internal Auditor will plan, execute, and report engagements, as defined in the annual Internal Audit Plan.  As the ideal candidate, you enjoy the audit function and also consulting and implementing innovative ideas to maximize audit efficiency and effectiveness, utilizing audit software and data analytics tools.

You…

  • Are legally authorized to work in Canada (e.g. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status)
  • Have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Have your CPA or other recognized accounting designation (advanced stages of certification will be considered)
  • Have your CIA designation (required).  CISA/CISM is also considered an asset
  • Are proficient in using audit software and data analytics tool
  • Are able to travel up to 40% to other operational sites, as required
  • Are highly proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
