Senior Accountant – CPA required (move to Okanagan, BC required)
Our client is seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Accountant experienced with ASPE accounting standards, who already has their Canadian CPA and approximately 5 years Canadian work experience, including multi-company and multi-currency experience. Relocation to the central interior of British Columbia is required. Some relocation assistance is offered.
This career opportunity is a true ‘roll up your sleeves’ position and is also responsible for supervising the daily activities of the A/P and A/R staff. The position is part of the organization’s succession planning, ideally suited for someone with excellent leadership attributes, who can ‘hit the ground running’ and has a desire and skills to possibly progress into a Controller position within the next 3-4 years.

- Already have your Canadian CPA designation (required) and 5 years of Canadian work experience, including multi-company and multi-currency experience (required)
- Have experience with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) (required)
- Enjoy a hands-on liaison role and the preparation of month end accruals, working papers and variance analysis, the processing of transactions and preparing of reconciliations for many of the entities, developing documentation support for annual audited financial statements
- Are experienced in assisting with budget models
- Have an ability to interpret contracts, provide revenue & pricing analysis, understand revenue recognition, manage operational costing, analyze fuel usage / costs, and coordinate invoicing and collections while maintaining financial / operational controls

Reporting directly to the Divisional Controller, as the ideal candidate you thrive in a fast-paced, multi-company, high transaction environment. - Are a Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen (required)
- Already have your Canadian CPA designation (this is a requirement) and 5 years of Canadian work experience (required), including multi-company and multi-currency and ASPE
- Have some supervisory experience of up to 3 staff
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; experience with EDI billing processes is considered an asset
- Have a ‘Can Do’ attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
- Are proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
