Senior HRS Advisor – (move to southern interior BC required)

Job Location: southern interior of British Columbia

Relocation Required – Only apply if willing to relocate.  Some relocation assistance being offered.

This position is initially 100% onsite, but over time, there may be an option to consider a hybrid scenario.

Are you an experienced Senior Human Resources Service Advisor interested in an interesting and challenging career opportunity, all the while living in the beautiful, southern interior of British Columbia?

Do you have HRIS systems experience in a 24×7 operation and a good understanding of HR’s role, as it relates to the back-end administration of benefits, payroll, time and attendance in a 24×7 operation?

Do you consider yourself an HRS analyst who understands SAP, HRIS systems, running reports and understanding metrics, but who is also comfortable working with a manual, legacy system?

If you answered YES to all of these questions, this role might be for you!

  • Have at least 4 to 5 years HR Advisor experience, in a 24×7 operation, where you supported the various business units on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Have been involved in workforce planning, running reports and analyzing the metrics, such as workforce data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in areas such as productivity, retention, and engagement.
  • Have applied your knowledge of Canadian legislation to help drive policy development and compliance to ensure that HR policies and procedures comply with relevant Canadian laws and regulations, crucial for effective workforce management.
  • Have experience related to talent management while working with managers to ensure talent is appropriately acquired, developed, and retained. This includes developing succession plans, performance management systems, and employee engagement initiatives….This role might be for you!

This opportunity is ideally suited for a well-organized Senior HRS Advisor with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive track record supporting the business in all HR functions including employee relations; addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and helping ensure a positive and productive work environment, contributing to overall workforce health.

  • Are legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada (e.g. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status)
  • Have a university degree in Business or Commerce; Human Resources specialization preferred
  • Are a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) (considered an asset)
  • Are proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office, SAP and HRIS Systems
  • Are proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
  • Are well organized, excellent with record keeping, and experienced with technology while also being comfortable with manual processes and legacy systems

Salary range: $85K-$100K/year
