3rd Class Power Engineer, Energy Superintendent
Job Location: northern Alberta (4 hours north of Edmonton)
Relocation Required – Relocation assistance being offered.
Annual Salary: $95,250 to $127,000, Plus northern location payment on top of your base pay
Shift: Monday-Friday
Our client is seeking a full-time, permanent Third-Class Power Engineer- Energy Superintendent with strong leadership experience and a background in industrial manufacturing environments and experience with wood-fired furnace, thermal oil heating system, Electrified Filter Bed (EFB) pollution control system, fire protection and water treatment systems. The position requires relocation to a small town 4 hours north of Edmonton, Alberta and relocation assistance is offered.

- Are a 3rd Class Power Engineer
- Have extensive experience with wood-fired furnace, thermal oil heating system, Electrified Filter Bed (EFB) pollution control system, and fire protection and water treatment systems in industrial manufacturing (Must Have) (experience from hospitals, buildings, construction are not relevant to this role)
- Have experience operating automated or computerized control systems
- Have a reputation as a strong leader and mentor who leads with integrity and enjoys helping to develop your employees. (this role supervises 9 power engineers)
- Are a team player with excellent communication skills enabling you to work well with all levels of stakeholders, across the organization….This role might be for you!
As the ideal candidate you enjoy being ‘boots on the ground’ and thrive in a role with diverse responsibility including but not limited to; leading and overseeing the plant asset protection portfolio, developing and mentoring the 9 power engineers who report into this role, monitoring performance relative to targets, etc.

- Are legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada (e.g. Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, open work permit)
- Have are a 3rd Class Power Engineer with (Must provide a copy)
- Are experienced with computerized maintenance management systems e.g. JDE or alternative CMMS
- Are experienced in developing standard operating procedures
- Thrive within a diverse workforce and have a proactive approach to continually explore improvement opportunities within the operation
- Are proficient in the English language (oral and written)
